Got a photo?

One photo. No portfolio required.

You took a photo on holiday, at a local event, or just out the back. You think someone might want a print, or it might be useful for an article. Send it to us. No website, no portfolio, no "are you a professional?" gate.

Common questions (can I sell a photo of my dog? what about tax? do I keep copyright?) are answered on the FAQ.

What we accept

File
  • JPEG, PNG, or WebP
  • Up to 8 MB
  • One photo per submission
  • Original from your camera or phone
Content
  • Taken by you
  • You hold the copyright
  • Sharp and in focus
  • No AI-generated images
What we don't accept
  • Photos that aren't yours
  • AI-generated or heavily AI-manipulated images
  • Identifiable photos of minors
  • Photos where the subject is someone else's branding or copyrighted artwork
  • Content that breaks the law (read the knowledge base if you're unsure)

A small "photosale.net" watermark is added to the bottom-right of your photo before display. Your original is unchanged on your device. EXIF metadata (including GPS coordinates) is stripped during processing, so location data doesn't get published with the photo.

How it works

  1. Upload the photo and tell us where it was taken.
  2. Tell us what you'd like to do with it. Sell prints, license it for editorial or commercial use, both, or you just want to share it.
  3. We review it. If it fits, we'll come back about prints, licensing or sharing. If we think it doesn't fit, we'll say so straight away.

Will I keep the copyright?

Yes. Copyright in the photo is yours. Anything we agree to do with it would be through a written licence that lists exactly what we can do with it, where, and for how long. See our who owns a photograph and licensing articles for the background.

Should I read anything first?

Worth a look if you're unsure: our knowledge base covers photographing in public places, photographing people (when you might need a release), and hobby vs business (whether the ATO will treat any sales as taxable). Every article cites Australian legislation and reported cases.
